Waffle House announced its newest store in Texas. The company will open the new restaurant in Waxahachie near I-35, according to a new filing to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

According to the TDLR filing, the company is building the new restaurant on Butcher Road, though a address location was not provided. The new build is expected to start construction on January 2, 2026 and is estimated to complete the work by June 30, 2026.

The project will cost an estimated $300,000 and the facility is planned to be 1,840 square feet.

The location marks North Texas' 68th location, while San Antonio continues to have zero. The Georgia-based company opened its closest location to the Alamo City in Kyle in May last year.

The notorious restaurant brand is known for its 24-hour locations, classic breakfast plates that can double as a hangover cure or a way to come down from a night of drinking.
