Some things in life are simply inevitable, like getting older. As we age, things begin to change in our lives. We learn to let things go and to smile more. We have more financial freedom to do things and see things that we've wanted to see and do for years. But on the flip side of the coin, our bodies begin to change, too. Breasts start to sag a little more than they did in years past. More fat starts to make itself known around your midsection, neck, arms, and stomach.

Wrinkles and fine lines start to become more pronounced. In the past, we were taught to just deal with the signs of aging. But in modern times, there are safe, innovative ways to recapture the incomparable feeling of youth. If you're getting more and more self-conscious about how you look, it could be time to work with a plastic surgeon in Mansfield, TX, like Dr. Mark Bishara of Paragon Plastic Surgeon.

Body Contouring: Lifting Loose Skin After Substantial Weight Loss

Shape

The obesity epidemic in the United States and worldwide has prompted numerous programs aimed at reducing Body Mass Index (BMI) for individuals' well-being. However, substantial weight loss cannot disregard real-world physics. As a result of weight loss, bodily components such as skin and fat deposits undergo significant changes in tension and size, which may not adjust accordingly. Bariatric weight loss surgery has helped many people achieve their BMI goals and lead healthier lives, but it has also increased the need for body contouring following weight loss. If you made the choice to get healthy and lose weight but are left with unattractive and frustrating loose skin, it could be time to speak with a plastic surgeon in Mansfield, TX.

The goal of body contouring is to remove excess skin for both cosmetic and functional reasons. Large hanging skin folds can be considered unappealing from an aesthetic standpoint, and frequent chafing between functional and excess skin can make daily activities uncomfortable, potentially leading to skin infections. Additionally, moisture trapped between loose skin folds can create an ideal environment for bacterial growth, posing hygiene issues for the patient.

While it's feasible to perform a full body lift in one session, most doctors prefer to divide body contouring surgeries into multiple sessions for the patient's safety and comfort. At Paragon Plastic Surgery, our body contouring procedures are split up into a few of the most common areas on which we operate, including:

Breast lifts reshape your breasts and reposition your areolas by removing excess skin below the breasts and moving the nipples higher. The skin above your breasts is also adjusted to create a more youthful contour. This surgery can also be combined with breast augmentation to fill any volume loss, and the areolas can be resized if needed.

 Aesthetic Treatments Mansfield, TX

The arm lift procedure aims to achieve a more youthful appearance by removing excess fat and skin from your underarms. This is common in women but can also occur in men after significant weight loss. The incision is made beneath your arm and may extend from the elbow to the armpit, depending on the amount of skin that needs to be removed. Most patients are satisfied with the results and consider the trade-off of "skin for scars" worthwhile, especially when the scars are effectively concealed by your plastic surgeon in Mansfield, TX.

 Facial Rejuvenation Mansfield, TX

A lower body lift includes a thigh lift, and a buttock lift to remove excess skin. The thigh lift is like an arm lift, with incisions made based on the location of excess skin. The buttock lift doesn't involve implants, but fat from other areas can be used to enhance the shape. Overall, the skin cutting and repositioning performed by Dr. Bishara is safe and provides welcome results after bariatric surgery or extreme weight loss.

 Body Contouring Mansfield, TX

A tummy tuck is a surgical procedure that involves tightening your abdominal walls and removing excess skin to create a flatter abdomen. The surgery is typically performed under either local or general anesthesia. It begins with an incision along the bikini line and the removal of the belly button. After the abdominal wall is tightened, the excess skin is pulled down, and a new belly button is created. This procedure is moderately invasive, and it usually takes about two to three weeks before patients can resume exercising.

Face Lifts and Implants: Reclaiming a More Youthful "You"

Shape

In today's day and age, aesthetic impressions matter more than at any other time in history. Whether we're meeting a new person or reconvening with an old friend, one of the first places we look is at their face. When a person has sunken cheeks, deep wrinkles, and drooping foreheads, we tend to think they're angry or disheveled. If you're worried about unattractive features on your face that affect your daily life, you're not alone. Millions of men and women around the U.S. aren't happy with features like thin lips and frown lines.

By working with a plastic surgeon in Mansfield, TX, like Dr. Bishara at Paragon Plastic Surgeon, you can reclaim a more youthful you with the safe and effective procedures below.

Brow and Eyelid lifts can rejuvenate sagging or wrinkled foreheads, giving you a more relaxed and youthful appearance. By using either traditional or minimally invasive techniques, the muscles above the eyes are adjusted to smooth out lines and lift the eyebrows. This procedure is often combined with others to enhance the overall look of your eyes.

Full cheeks play a significant role in how we perceive a person's face, whether we realize it or not. Cheek implants can have a big impact on your self-confidence, especially if your cheeks have thinned due to aging, illness, or other reasons. The sizes and shapes of the implants we use are customized to fit your desired appearance, giving you a personalized experience and look.

Reshaping your chin with implants can help create a more balanced appearance with your other facial features. Chin enhancement is commonly suggested for individuals getting rhinoplasty to achieve better facial harmony, as the size of the chin can either accentuate or diminish the apparent size of the nose and vice versa.

A facelift can reverse the effects of aging, gravity, sun exposure, and stress by eliminating fat, tightening skin and muscles, and giving your face a rejuvenated, more youthful appearance. Many of our patients report looking 10 to 15 years younger after undergoing a facelift performed by a plastic surgeon in Mansfield, TX from Paragon Plastic Surgery.

A neck lift is a surgical procedure that can smooth and tighten the skin on your neck to provide a more toned and youthful appearance. This procedure offers a drastic improvement to the appearance of your neck, and subtle changes to your overall appearance.

Hair Restoration: An Innovative Solution for Baldness and Thinning Hair

Shape

Hair loss can be caused by side effects from medication, aging, genetics, or scalp injuries with scarring. It affects both men and women of all ages, leading to pattern baldness, patchy spots, or thinning hair. Many people find this change in their appearance distressing and are frustrated by the lack of effective treatments. Thankfully, there are several minimally invasive and affordable treatments available to promote hair growth or restore hair loss. These treatments can help patients regain confidence as they enjoy thick, full, and beautiful hair once again.

Dr. Mark Bishara is proud to offer a wide range of comprehensive hair restoration procedures, including the following:

 Aesthetic Treatments Mansfield, TX
Laser Hair Therapy

The Xtrallux Extreme RX Hair Regrowth Laser Cap utilizes a unique form of laser light proven to enhance circulation and trigger cellular metabolism in and around the scalp's hair follicles. Unlike the lasers employed for cosmetic skin procedures and tattoo removal, the Xtrallux doesn't cause any damage to the skin cells. Instead, it employs low-level, cool-to-the-touch lasers for hair restoration.

 Facial Rejuvenation Mansfield, TX
Non-Surgical Hair Restoration with PRP

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) Therapy involves extracting a small amount of your blood and separating the platelets and plasma. After being combined in a centrifuge, the mix is then injected just under your scalp in the areas where hair growth is desired. Researchers suggest that the hormones and growth factors in platelet-rich plasma play a crucial role in stimulating renewed hair growth and transforming thin hair into thicker, fuller strands.

 Body Contouring Mansfield, TX
Surgical Treatments for Hair Growth

Many men and women choose non-surgical hair restoration because it's minimally invasive. However, if you have severe hair loss or you have tried other procedures with no luck, it might be time to see a plastic surgeon in Mansfield, TX. Surgical hair restoration procedures are specifically designed to deliver effective results with minimal downtime and without causing damage to surrounding hair follicles. Dr. Bishara from Paragon Plastic Surgeon possesses extensive experience in performing these advanced procedures and will assist you in determining the most suitable approach for achieving the best possible results.

What our patients say

Depending on your needs, surgical hair growth options from Paragon may be the best course of action. Common surgical hair restoration procedures include the following:

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a minimally invasive hair restoration procedure that moves the patient's own hair - graft by graft - to maximize the likelihood of regrowth after it has been transplanted in the balding area.

Eyebrow restoration involves inserting single-hair micro-grafts into the eyebrows using a needle at a specific angle, creating a natural appearance customized to fit the patient's goals.

Dr. Bishara's FUT method of hair restoration surgery involves transplanting natural, individual follicular units for the most natural results. The procedure involves trimming the hair short, numbing the scalp, removing follicles, and placing them in the recipient area. Sutures are placed in the donor area, which are usually hidden by the patient's hair. Patients can resume normal hair care after a week, and hair growth typically begins about three months after the procedure.

Temporal Peaks Restoration restores a natural and youthful hairline by recreating the temporal peaks, the areas at the front of the head that are common sites of hair loss. This procedure helps frame the face and define a person's appearance by transplanting hair to recreate a natural hairline.

Aligned Data Centers is expanding into the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area with a new data center campus in Mansfield.

Aligned’s DFW-03, situated on a 27-acre site with an on-site substation, is strategically positioned to meet rising demand for AI, cloud and enterprise applications. Initial capacity is anticipated to be available as early as Q4 2025 providing customers with rapid access to critical infrastructure.

“The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex provides the ideal foundation for Aligned’s continued expansion,” said Andrew Schaap, CEO, Aligned.

“We are thrilled to bring our innovative data center solutions to Mansfield. Our focus will be on delivering the high-performance infrastructure our customers require to power their AI / cloud workloads and support the highest-density GPUs, with near-term power availability.”

Aligned is strategically positioned to lead the next phase of data center development. With over a decade of innovation in cooling technologies and 5,000+ MW of future capacity, the company is uniquely equipped to deliver the speed, scale and quality of infrastructure customers require to succeed in this rapidly evolving landscape.

Aligned’s DFW-03 leverages Aligned’s proven adaptive modular infrastructure, accelerating deployments through prefabrication of components and on-site delivery of critical equipment.

This flexible design approach minimizes cost and risk while enhancing sustainability and quality. It also empowers customers with the flexibility to optimize their deployments for various workloads, including AI, cloud, and enterprise applications, by tailoring density, resiliency, and redundancy.

The data center also features Aligned’s proprietary, award-winning air and liquid cooling technologies, enabling customers to easily transition from air-cooled to liquid-cooled systems, or deploy hybrid cooling within the same data hall, to accommodate densities upwards of 350 kW per rack.

As part of Aligned’s longstanding commitment to environmental and community stewardship, the company also established the Roots for the Future Fund in partnership with the City of Mansfield. This fund supports city beautification as well as the planting of native trees in the local area, providing shade, improving air quality, and enhancing the overall sustainability of the community.

“Aligned Data Centers has continued to show that it’s more than a business with a location in Mansfield,” said City of Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans.

“With the Roots for the Future Fund, the company is adding another stitch to the fabric of Mansfield as a neighbor and community leader.”

“We are incredibly grateful for the collaborative spirit of the City of Mansfield as well as the warm welcome we’ve received from the Mansfield community. This partnership has been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. Aligned is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen and looks forward to our continued collaboration with the community to support local initiatives and contribute to the continued growth, prosperity and sustainability of the region,” said Schaap.

A punk singer’s performance at a Mansfield sports bar has been canceled after backlash from some residents over his ties to the Proud Boys, a far-right nationalist group.

Michale Graves, former lead singer for the Misfits, was scheduled to perform on April 11 at Fat Daddy’s, which cited “unforeseen circumstances” in its decision to cancel.

“We understand this news may come as a disappointment to some, and we appreciate the input and feedback we have received from our community,” the venue wrote in a post Monday on Facebook.

“Our goal has always been to provide a welcoming, enjoyable space for live music, great entertainment, and good times. While we strive to remain neutral in all things, we also want to ensure that our staff, customers, and performers feel comfortable and free from harassment.”

Braili Tomah, director of retail operations for the bar’s parent company, AngMar Retail Group, told The Dallas Morning News in a Thursday email that “we did not want to cancel him at all.”

“We were only trying to protect our staff, including myself, from the harassment,” Tomah said, adding that she had received calls from people unhappy about the concert.

Graves performed at a Jan. 6, 2021, rally in Washington, D.C., and was going to play later that day for Proud Boys members at an Airbnb, he recently told The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

He also testified on behalf of the Proud Boys at their 2023 sedition trial in connection to the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol, Reuters reported. The group’s former leader, Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, and other members were accused of plotting to use force to prevent the transfer of presidential power.

Civil rights organizations have described the Proud Boys as a hate group. The Anti-Defamation League says the group “serves as a tent for misogynistic, anti-immigrant, Islamophobic and anti-LGBTQ+ ideologies and other forms of hate — including antisemitism and white supremacy — that oppose progressivism, feminism, multiculturalism and ‘woke’ ideology.”

Graves’ response

When reached for comment on the canceled Mansfield performance, Graves said in an email Wednesday that his connections to the Proud Boys are irrelevant.

“I haven’t done anything wrong at all. I have become a symbol of all the bad things these people think they are fighting,” he said, referring to his critics.

According to his website, Graves is on an acoustic tour. Several of his concerts have been canceled over complaints about his connections to the Proud Boys, including a recent show in Pittsburgh.

“I have lost tens of thousands of dollars because of this. They contact venues and make up lies about me and harass and threaten people until they capitulate to the demands of these lunatics,” Graves told The News.

Last month, Graves spoke to The Post-Gazette of Pittsburgh about drawing ire over his association with the Proud Boys. “I’m not a Nazi. I’m not a hateful person,” he told the newspaper.

“There’s no coordinated effort to stamp out people who are different,” he said of the Proud Boys. “That’s not going on. I would immediately distance myself from it and call it out wherever I saw it.”

Meanwhile, in Mansfield, cancellation of Graves’ concert has stirred debate about what to some appears to be an example of cancel culture and to others a stand against hateful views.

Area resident Donna Seibert had no plans to attend the concert. “It’s not my thing,” said the 61-year-old, who had seen a Facebook post about the concert’s removal on a page called The Rational Side of Mansfield. She said she sees the cancellation as a form of censorship.

“If you don’t agree, then you don’t go see them,” she said, adding “there are people that like his music and that aren’t white supremacist.”

Brandon Brady, 40, another area resident, runs the Rational Mansfield page, which he said he started to promote transparency around issues affecting the school district and neighborhood at large.

“I actually know the Misfits from when I was a teenager,” Brady said. “That’s the kind of music I listened to.”

But in recent years, he said, he has observed Graves’ far-right connections and didn’t want Mansfield to attract a negative reputation by hosting him.

“When I start to see a business normalizing white supremacy … I had no choice but to say, ‘Absolutely not,’” he said.

“I’m holding venues accountable for platforming hate. ... It’s not about silencing opposing views.”

MANSFIELD, Texas — Mansfield’s decorated Lake Ridge boys basketball team won’t participate in the playoffs after inadvertently allowing an ineligible player to play during their area championship win over El Paso Eastlake Friday, Mansfield ISD confirmed.

Lake Ridge, which is ranked 22nd in the nation and third in the state by MaxPreps, was scheduled to play Flower Mound Marcus in the Class 6A Division I regional semifinal game Tuesday night, but the school district confirmed the game is canceled. Tonight, Flower Mound Marcus will await the winner of tonight's game between North Crowley and Allen.

Mansfield ISD said in a statement that the district was made aware that the ineligible player participated in the Friday game Tuesday morning and self-reported the incident to the University Interscholastic League (UIL).

“Per the UIL Constitution and Contest rules, the minimum requirement is to forfeit that game and withdraw from playoff competition. In cooperation with the UIL, that is what MISD has elected to do,” Mansfield ISD said in a statement. “Mansfield ISD and its Athletics Department values and strives to uphold all UIL rules and regulations and regrets the impact of this situation on our student athletes, their families, and the community.”

More details about the reason the player was ineligible or how the player was able to participate in the game against Eastlake weren’t immediately available.

Lake Ridge had beat East Lake 71-35 Friday to advance to the regional semifinal game, according to the Lake Ridge boys basketball team’s social media page.

WFAA has reached out to UIL for comment. They responded in a statement saying, "UIL can confirm that Mansfield ISD self-reported the participation of an ineligible player in the area playoff game against El Paso Eastlake that took place on Friday, February 21. Per the UIL Constitution & Contest Rules, the minimum penalty for this violation is forfeiture of the game. As a result of the forfeiture, the Mansfield Lake Ridge boys basketball team has withdrawn from the UIL state basketball playoffs."

Data center-focused Aligned, a Plano-based global company, is marking an expansion of its presence in Dallas-Fort Worth with a new facility on a 27-acre site in Mansfield.

Aligned said it offers innovative, sustainable and adaptive scale data centers and build-to-scale solutions for global hyperscale and enterprise customers.

“The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex provides the ideal foundation for Aligned’s continued expansion,” CEO Andrew Schaap said. “We are thrilled to bring our innovative data center solutions to Mansfield. Our focus will be on delivering the high-performance infrastructure our customers require to power their AI/cloud workloads and support the highest-density GPUs, with near-term power availability.”

The new data center campus, Aligned’s DFW-03, will have an on-site substation and is strategically located to meet rising demand for AI, cloud and enterprise applications, Aligned said. According to the city, the new data center will be at 3801 Britton Road near State Highway 360. The company said the initial capacity is anticipated to be available as early as the fourth quarter of this year.

Aligned has more than a decade of innovation in cooling technologies and 5,000-plus megawatts of future capacity. The company said its flexible design approach minimizes cost and risk while enhancing sustainability and quality.

That approach, Aligned said, also empowers customers with the flexibility to optimize their deployments for various workloads, including AI, cloud and enterprise applications, by tailoring density, resiliency and redundancy.

The new data center also features Aligned proprietary air and liquid cooling technologies, enabling customers to easily transition from air-cooled to liquid-cooled systems, or deploy hybrid cooling within the same data hall, accommodating densities upward of 350 kilowatts per rack.

Aligned announced it established the Roots for the Future Fund in partnership with the city of Mansfield as part of the company’s commitment to environmental and community stewardship. Aligned said that fund supports the planting of native trees in the local area, providing shade, improving air quality and enhancing overall sustainability and beauty of the community.

“Aligned Data Centers has continued to show that it’s more than a business with a location in Mansfield,” Mansfield Mayor Michael Evans said. “With the Roots for the Future Fund, the company is adding another stitch to the fabric of Mansfield as a neighbor and community leader.”

Schaap lauded the relationship the city has developed with Aligned, which was “instrumental” in bringing the project to fruition.

“Aligned is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen and looks forward to our continued collaboration with the community to support local initiatives and contribute to the continued growth, prosperity and sustainability of the region,” Schaap said.

In January, Aligned announced it had completed another round of capital, raising more than $5 billion of new primary equity and more than $7 billion of new debt commitments to fund “accelerated platform expansion and ongoing innovation.”

The company said the funding will accelerate development of its planned future capacity across the Americas, positioning Aligned to meet surging demand for AI-ready infrastructure.
