But for girls seeking labiaplasty? There really isn’t a set precedent. Why are young girls and women concerned about this? Interestingly, it is more than what meets the eye.
Young girls are seeking out advice about what looks “normal”. For a lot of young girls or women its not about aesthetics, its about feeling comfortable, if the labia minor is larger than normal it can create an extremely painful situation. For athletes such as barrel racers, bicyclist, runners with a larger than “normal” labia, it can create a lot of discomfort for the patient.

Dr. Bishara performs labiaplasty at Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa in Mansfield, Texas. The procedure may be done under local or general anesthesia and is an out-patient procedure typically lasting an hour or two.
