Are you looking to make yourself look younger with a hair transplant? Do you wish there were a way of ensuring a high-quality hair transplant from the surgeon you hire? If so, then you need to learn all that you can about finding a hair transplant specialist in Dallas.

Doing so can help you find the perfect fit for your needs. You can find a consistent hair transplant system that’s pain-free, includes groundbreaking technology, and is virtually pain-free.

See below for an in-depth guide on how to find the perfect hair transplant service to achieve your desired results in the Dallas area.

1. Search Through Online Reviews

Finding a hair transplant specialist is a vital part of achieving a younger you. You want to find someone that you can trust. Someone that has a proven track record of success.

Fortunately, you live in the digital age where you can find all of the information that you need in a matter of minutes. There are three main ways that you can learn about hair transplant services in the Dallas area:

  1. Online Reviews
  2. Client Testimonials
  3. Customer References

First, start buying Googling the service that you are considering and look at the reviews that previous clients have left behind. Ask yourself a few questions as you review them:

  • Was the client satisfied with the service that they received?
  • What did they say about the process  at the hair transplant clinic they chose?  Did they enjoy it?
  • Did it take long for the patient to recover from their treatment?
  • Did the surgeon do a good job of explaining the process and treatment before it was performed?
  • Does the patient have any regrets or dissatisfaction with the service?
  • Do they use any robotic technology in their hair transplant treatment?

If you would like a bit more information, you can always reach out to the hair transplant service and ask them for any references to former patients that you could contact.

2. Look for a Streamlined Hair Transplant Treatment

Gone are the days of plugs and stitches to receive a permanent hair transplant treatment. These days, there are much more modernized and streamlined methods of doing so.

Here at the Paragon, we use the ARTAS hair transplant system. This is an interactive computer assisted system that helps provide image guidance in order to make the follicle harvesting process more efficient.

It helps the surgeon in several ways, such as imagine technologies, image-guided robotic arm, computer interface, and small dermal punches.

So how does all of this benefit you as the patient? First off, it’s amazing algorithms will help give you the most efficient hair pattern possible. It protects your healthiest hair follicles and harvests others for the best results.

The ARTAS method requires no stitches, which means that you don’t have to endure any pain during the procedure, and there’s no visible scarring afterwards. It can ensure a consistent graft throughout the entirety of the procedure.

Best of all, those results will heal quickly. You’ll be back to your daily activities in no time at all. Make sure the hair transplant service you hire uses the ARTAS system.

3. Find Experience

No matter what kind of treatment procedure they use, there’s one thing that technology can’t replace: experience.

Experience with the hair transplant procedures, experience with the transplant software that they use, experience with how to communicate with patients. All of it.

Be sure to learn more about the experience of the doctor that you’re considering for your hair transplant. Our board certified hair transplant surgeon, Dr. Mark A. Bishara M.D. has all the experience that you’re looking for.

He specializes in minimally-invasive procedures that enhance the quality and results of the cosmetic procedures that we offer. He’s a proud member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgions (ISHRS), Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical society.

If you’d like more information on the cosmetic surgeon you’re interested in, reach out to their service via phone for more information.

4. Customer Service Plays a Factor

While the treatment process is important, it isn’t the only factor that you should consider in the hair transplant service you hire.

Make sure that you hire someone that’s looking out for your needs first, not the needs of their wallets. Are they helpful when you call their front office? Do they take the time to answer your questions honestly? Is the information they’re giving you insightful?

If the service you’re speaking with is beating around the bush, then cross them off your list. You want to find someone that’s with you every step of the way.

5. Request Before and After Photos

There’s one primary question you should ask any cosmetic surgeon you speak with: have you worked on hair like mine before? Everyone’s hair is different, but there are a few similarities!

Make sure to request before and after photos of previous patients. How do the photos they’re showing you relate to your hair transplant treatment? Is the surgeon hoping for the same results for your hair?

Viewing both the before and after photos will give you a better view of the surgeon’s expertise. They’ll talk about the requests that patient had, their target areas for harvesting, and so on. It gives you more confidence in the service that you hire.

Over 50% of men approaching 50 years old and 30% of women will experience balding during their lives.  Many of these same people have felt older when they look in the mirror or have seen pictures of balding or thinning hair.   Hair loss can have devastating effect on confidence and self esteem.  If you are interested in a consultation to restore your hair email restore@markbisharamd.com

Many patients will present with diffuse hair loss or will have insignificant amounts of follicles to transplant and may not be good candidates to restore their hair.  Discussing these surgical and non surgical options to restore your hair with Dr Mark A Bishara will start your journey towards a more youthful you.
Non surgical treatments for hair loss may be recommended by Dr Mark A Bishara to restore your hair.  You may also be recommended to add non-surgical adjuncts to your procedure to restore your hair.  Non surgical adjuncts include platelet rich plasma therapy (or PRP), low level light therapy (LLLT), finasteride pills by mouth, and minoxidil with bimotoprost.
PRP, as seen on both Good Morning America and Good Morning Texas is offered in 1 or 2 areas, and is carried out at the time of a transplant, or without a transplant, and repeated 3 times over 90 days.  Most patients will respond with a response rate of 70-90%.  In fact, some patients respond better than others.  Some providers have chosen to add amniotic and placental products.  At the current time the Paragon Hair Clinic has chosen not to add these products as of summer of 2018 while further safety and efficacy can be determined.
Low level light therapy stimulates hair growth and prevents hair loss in the majority of patients who remain compliant under the Paragon Hair Clinic protocols.  Using sustained light for as little as 6 to 12 minutes every day or every other day for 6 months shows results.  Patients who see results in the hair often experience shedding between 2-6 weeks which is normal and should not be alarming.  LLLT has been tested in a randomized, double-blinded, placebo controlled method and increases hair mass in most patients between 6 and 10 months.
Finasteride 1mg per day or 2.5 mg every other day can also stimulate hair mass in the crown and posterior mid scalp but is less effective on the hair line.  Finasteride has been known to cause decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, and gynecomastia in small percentages reported by Merck.
Minoxidil is also FDA approved to prevent hair loss.  Bimatoprost has also been used to stimulate eyelash growth and has been used by some opthomologists for hair mass stimulation. Bimatoprost is not used widespread for hair loss prevention because of the expense.  There is only one pharmacy that the Paragon Hair Clinic endorses for the production of a compounded form of Minoxidil 14% with Bimotoprost.
Using these four products together can give a response that is greater than using the individual components to restore your hair..

Respectfully,
Mark

We know how to unlock the body’s capability to help regrow you own hair.  Taking 4 tubes of  your blood and spinning it at 1900 RPM for 10 minutes to harvest platelet rich plasma and reinject it with tiny needles where your hair is thinning can improve density and help thicken hair in 70-90% of patients.  Three-25 minute treatments performed over 60 days in either one of our offices in 1 or 2 areas will improve density over the ensuing 4-6 months or 2 hair cycles.   Shedding can be a result of stimulating new hair growth that pushes old hair out.
PRP treatments are becoming quite popular now in days, especially for us here at The Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa. With androgenic alopecia becoming a concern to many men and women, PRP has also become a solution for them.

What is PRP?

PRP is short Platelet Rich Plasma, it is one of most recent methods out there for the many types of alopecia. PRP contains growth factors. The way a PRP treatment is done at The Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa, we draw blood from the patient. Place the blood in a centrifuge and let it spin for about 10 minutes. Once ready we only draw the platelet rich plasma leaving the red cells behind. PRP is then injected to scalp or area in which we are treating the patient.

Are PRP treatments painful?

PRP treatments can be a bit discomforting for some patients. Here at The Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa we use local anesthetic before we inject PRP into the patients scalp. We make sure the patient is comfortable before we inject the PRP.

Is there any down time for PRP treatments?

The best part of this preventative hair loss method, aside from it being non-surgical is that there is NO DOWNTIME! PRP treatments can take up to an hour to be done but you can resume normal activities right after.

Who can get PRP treatments?

The ideal candidate for PRP treatment are those men and women who have recently discovered hairloss/shedding. Research has shown that PRP can also work for women who have suffered hairloss due to tight braids, and ponytails. PRP is not for people that are completely bald.

Where can i get a PRP treatment done?

The Paragon Plastic Surgery and Med Spa currenty has two offices in Mansfield, TX and Southlake, TX to help accomadate all of our patients. Don’t let more time pass.. Get the help you need for your hairloss now! Dr. Mark Bishara and The Paragon family are waiting to get you started on your journey to full head of hair!

What is Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)?

Scalp Micropigmentation is one of the latest trends in helping people with different types of hair loss. It is used to mimic the hair follicles. It is not a scalp tattoo, special pigments are made and used for this treatment.
Robot Hair Transplant Video
Who can do SMP?
Anyone can do Scalp Micropigmentation. People suffering from alopecia, anyone with hairloss in the crown or hair. It can also be done on any skin types. SMP can cover up scars including those from past hair transplants surgeries. Last but not least, Yes! SMP is for women as well!

How is Scalp Micropigmentation done?

Scalp Micropigmentation is performed using a 3 dimensional needle to give the appearance of a small well trimmed hair shaft.  Organic ink is placed superficially into the epidermis.  If the ink is placed too deeply the blot smears and expands.  Sessions include at time zero, 2 weeks later, and 6 weeks.  Occasionally redoing some areas where necessary.

Is there any down time?

Shortly after your treatment scabs will begin to form. The scabs will naturally fall off between the 5 and 7th day. You want to avoid any physical activity or anything that will cause sweating for 4 days.
How long will the procedure take?
Typically your first SMP session will take any where from 3 to 4 hours. For the second session it will not take as long but it can be anywere from 2 to 3 hours.

Is the treatment painful?

Pain is different for each person. There are people that can do just fine and sleep through the treatment. There are some that would rate it a 2 or 3 on a pain scale of 1 to 10.

Hair transplantation has been around for quite some time now. From FUT’s, manual FUE to what now has become the best technique ROBOTIC FUE. Yes! it is an actual robot!. Dr. Mark Bishara has performed the most Robotic FUEs in the world. It is definitely a huge upgrade in the world of hair restoration.

Artas Robot

The ARTAS Robot was cleared by the FDA in 2011. The ARTAS Robot allows Dr. Mark Bishara to maneuver the robot to dissect the best follicular units. The robot is equipped with multiple cameras to help capture the best video and images of the patients hair.  The robot does the dissecting part of the procedure.   The follicular units are checked for quality as the robot dissects and the units get extracted. The robot is built to make recipient sites as well, once the sites are made and the follicular units are checked the planting begins. The new hair is then planted on to the patients recipient area. Local anesthetic is used to help with any pain and discomfort along with Valium to help the patient relax. The ARTAS Robot cuts down on time from a FUT procedure. Instructions on how to care for the new hair is provided before and after the procedure.
